Do you remember to review your Twitter bio and background when you have KDP Select free days for your Kindle ebooks?
I usually remember to change my Twitter bio to include an announcement with link to an ebook during its KDP Select free days and to use the cover of the book as my Twitter bio background. (Then, of course, I have to remember to remove the announcement and link from the Twitter bio when the free days are over.)
It is easy to overlook this when you are busy tweeting, posting updates on Facebook and LinkedIn, etc. to promote your KDP Select free days.
Another easy-to-overlook promotional step is the creating of a free ad on Snickslist.com the first day your Kindle ebook is free. (Click here to see the ad for my teen book HOW TO SUCCEED IN HIGH SCHOOL AND PREP FOR COLLEGE — free on Kindle October 10-14.)
Depending on how much time you want to devote to promoting your free book on Kindle, there are numerous activities you can do. Ensuring your Twitter bio and background support free days takes only a few minutes.
P.S. Click here to read an Examiner article I just wrote about a deal between Comcast and Twitter. I think this is a genius idea.
